Common Warranty Misconceptions
Are YORK warranties good?
Not true! YORK warranties are one of the best in the industry. Our 10 year extended warranty covers labour plus all parts within the furnace - no question. Extended warranty also covers travel costs. Limited heat exchanger warranty for registered units covers both secondary and primary not just the portion that has failed.
What if the company goes out of business?
The warranty follows the furnace not the company. YORK® has its own in house warranty. They believe in their own products and stand behind it 100% with one of the leading manufacturers warranty programs.
You don't need warrany, furnaces last 15 yrs without issues...
Even with proper yearly maintenance, furnaces of any brand are mechanical and parts do wear out. Why would you not want to be covered and keep repairs to minimum.
Extended Warranties are Expensive
At Kooler we offer the 10 year extended warranty with our residential TM9V YORK furnace installations. It's peace of mind for the next 10 years.
One service call within the 10 years nearly pays for the warranty. This includes maintenance parts such as pressure switches, flame rods plus the labour and travel. Warranty does not cover the initial diagnosis call.
